About the Artist

My name is Jane Middleton and I’m the artist behind Creations4kidz. I’m from a small town up North called Darlington, but I now live in Sheffield.

I’ve been drawing since the year zero (ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit) and drawing and painting have always been my true passion.

I was awarded a 2:1 BA Honours in Graphic Design & Illustration and worked for a short time as a freelance designer. I then went travelling on my own around Australia. After my returning to the UK I went back university to train to teach. I am currently teaching Art & Design part-time, as well as doing Art Workshops around schools in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. I have always sketched and illustrated in my spare time and I’m inspired by nature. I enjoy painting animals, flowers and people. I love creating new characters and all my paintings are bright and fun with lots of detail. I sometimes use textures and fabrics in my work.
